December 16, 2021 The G7 launches an appeal to "cooperate" to address the spread of the Omicron variant, calling it the "greatest current threat to world public health".



In their latest meeting under the British presidency, health ministers said they were "deeply concerned about the increase in the number of cases" of the new variant of the coronavirus.



Hope: need to strengthen vaccines and cautions


Minister Roberto Speranza participated this afternoon, by videoconference, in the G7 of Health Ministers. "In light of the epidemiological picture exposed by the British experts on the spread of the Omicron variant, the ministers shared the need to strengthen vaccination campaigns and insist on behavioral precautions", explains a note.
