In response to the spread of the new coronavirus, Fukuoka Prefecture issued a prefecture-specific corona warning and decided to request restaurants to shorten their business hours from the 1st of next month.

The number of infected people in Fukuoka Prefecture has been increasing, with more than 200 people on the 27th after the cancellation of priority measures such as prevention of spread, and the bed usage rate has also exceeded 15%.

For this reason, Fukuoka Prefecture held a countermeasures headquarters meeting on the 28th and decided to issue a prefecture-specific "Fukuoka Corona Warning".

It also requests restaurants throughout the prefecture to shorten their business hours from 1st to 29th next month to 9pm and to order alcoholic beverages by 8:30 pm.

The request for shortened working hours has just ended on the 11th of this month due to the cancellation of priority measures such as prevention of spread, and will be resumed in 3 weeks.

Fukuoka Prefecture has a policy of paying cooperation money to restaurants that respond to requests, and will pay up to 500,000 yen in advance to stores that have responded to requests so far.

It also plans to encourage large-scale facilities such as department stores to shorten their business hours to 9 pm.

Furthermore, from the 29th, we will ask the citizens of the prefecture to go out unnecessarily and urgently, including during the daytime, and to refrain from moving across prefectural borders.
