Fukuoka Prefecture announced on the 8th that it was confirmed that 229 people were newly infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture.
It is the first time since September 16th last year that the number of infected people in the prefecture has exceeded 200 per day.
The breakdown is 96 in Fukuoka City, 41 in Kitakyushu City, and 18 in Kurume City.
A total of 75,332 people have been confirmed infected in Fukuoka Prefecture.
