Yesterday, Thursday, the UAE and Israel announced the formal normalization of their relations, which developed over the years behind the scenes, and their intention to sign cooperation agreements in several areas.

According to a joint statement, US President Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan agreed, in a phone call, to fully normalize relations between Israel and the UAE.

In recent years, in particular, what is like a race between some Gulf countries, led by the UAE, in order to normalize its relations in official and overt ways with Israel, which is ruled by a right-wing authority that is the most violent in its history.

In the last three years, the process of normalization has accelerated, through visits, invitations, meetings and statements, between Arab countries and Israel, which the peoples of the region regard as "occupiers of Palestine and other Arab lands."

In this report, we collect information on the path of normalization in Israeli-Emirati relations that preceded the announcement of the new agreement.

The sequence does not include secret visits by the Israeli Prime Minister to the Emirates as part of the contacts to formulate an agreement to normalize relations, and it has not been announced previously.
