China News Agency, Beijing, April 30 (Ma Shuaisha Gao Shiqi) The Long March 11 carrier rocket (hereinafter referred to as the "Chang 11 Rocket") successfully scored a high score on Jilin-1 with "one arrow and five stars" in the Chinese waters. A series of satellites are put into a predetermined orbit.

This launch not only achieved a new breakthrough in the "launch voyage", but also the first time that China has realized the integration of rocket assembly, testing, port departure and launch.

New breakthrough in "launch range"

It is understood that the voyage of the launch ship is about 500 kilometers, which further expands the maneuvering range of Haishe and improves the task adaptability.

The Chang-11 rocket was developed by the First Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. It is currently the only solid carrier rocket launched by land and sea in China. It is famous for its "fast sounding arrow" and has the characteristics of "fast, convenient and flexible" , is a pioneer in China's commercial aerospace field.

Zhang Ming, deputy chief designer of the First Dean 11 rocket, said that in recent years, the launch needs of China's cutting-edge scientific experiment satellites have become more and more urgent.

Although these satellites are small in size, the technology is complex, and the needs of emergency missions such as sudden natural disasters have given birth to the development of rapid response space technology.

In the context of the increasingly strong demand for economical small rockets, the "fast sounding arrow" came into being.

Up to now, the Chang-11 rocket has successfully achieved 10 land launches and 3 sea launches in a row, and has undertaken the important task of quickly and maneuverably launching emergency satellites.

At 11:30 on April 30, Beijing time, China launched the Jilin-1 Gaofen-03D (04-07)/04A satellite in the East China Sea using the Long March 11 Haisheyao-3 rocket. A complete success.

The satellite mainly provides commercial remote sensing services for industries such as land and resources census, urban planning, and disaster monitoring.

"One-stop" launch of new attempts

This launch is the first time that the Chang-11 rocket has completed the final assembly test and launch preparations at the Shandong Haiyang Solid Launch Vehicle Base.

According to Li Tongyu, the commander-in-chief of the 11th rocket of the first president, in the previous maritime launch mission, after the production of the 11th rocket was completed, a final assembly test had to be completed, and then transported to the wharf, and then docked in the temporary workshop. , Test work, the process is relatively complex.

After the solid launch vehicle industrial base is put into use, the rocket can complete the rocket body docking, testing and star-rocket docking and other work links in the workshop, complete the rocket transfer and boarding work within a few hours, and then carry out the whole system joint training, and then After sailing to the scheduled launch area, the launch can be completed, and this process only takes 3 to 4 days.

"This not only greatly shortens the mission preparation time and simplifies the mission preparation process, but also reduces transportation costs and possible impacts during transportation, laying a solid foundation for subsequent high-frequency maritime commercial launches." Li Tongyu said.

"Space Ride" Multimodal

With the continuous improvement of the technical maturity of the model, the annual launch capacity of the Chang-11 rocket has been continuously improved. At present, it has the production capacity of 10 rounds a year, and the performance of the launch capacity is steadily improving.

The Chang-11 rocket is also in the field of commercial launch, and has launched three launch service modes: "Space Special Vehicle", "Space Shuttle" and "Space Freewheeler".

"Space Shuttle" can provide customized launch services for a single user; "Space Shuttle" highlights regular launches, providing users with commercial satellites and other users the opportunity to carry them on a regular basis; while "Space Shuttle" provides customized launch services for main satellites, at the same time On the premise of remaining carrying capacity, other satellite loads that meet the requirements of orbit and weight can be carried, so as to achieve economical and efficient consideration between multi-tasks.

In 2022, the Chang-11 rocket has already kicked off the curtain of intensive launches. A total of 5 to 8 launch missions have been arranged throughout the year, including 1 to 3 sea launch missions, which will set a new record for the number of annual launches.
