China Overseas Chinese Network, April 6th, according to the "Europe Times" report, on April 1, French Prime Minister Castel made an explanation on the "evolution of the epidemic and necessary countermeasures" in the National Assembly.

The parliament held a debate on this and voted to pass it.

A few days ago, French President Emmanuel Macron announced the strengthening of epidemic prevention restrictions across the country.

Unified spring break college scheduled exams will be held

According to Agence France-Presse, Castel explained the details of tightening epidemic prevention restrictions.

Kindergartens, elementary schools and middle and high schools will be closed for 3-4 weeks, including a two-week holiday starting on April 12.

Starting from April 26, elementary and kindergarten classes will resume, and middle and high schools will continue to teach remotely for a week.

Castel cited travel conditions across regions, including "family reasons", such as accompanying parents, grandparents, or picking up children.

French school holidays vary by school district. For Paris, which was originally scheduled to be closed on April 18, the new anti-epidemic policy means an earlier holiday.

The parliament of the Paris region, Pequeres, said that early spring break is "necessary", but parents need to cooperate.

The higher education examinations originally planned for the next 4 weeks will be held, and the organizational conditions will adapt to this special period.

Exams that cannot be held remotely will be postponed to May as far as possible.

Castel promised that the government will help children from poor families who cannot benefit from school cafeterias and free breakfast, and will announce detailed measures in the next few days.

Prohibition of alcohol, increase the number of intensive care beds

Prime Minister Castel announced that outdoor places where people often gather, such as riversides and squares, will prohibit drinking.

Castel criticized "unreservedly" those who did not comply with the epidemic prevention ban, especially those who held festive gatherings or did not wear masks. The Prime Minister pointed out that these people would be prosecuted and sanctioned.

Castel announced that President Macron has also promised to increase the number of critically ill beds from the current 7,665 to 10,200 in the last few days to cope with the increase in the number of patients with severe illness caused by the new crown.

In his speech, President Macron also promised to gradually open cultural and dining venues from mid-May.

The French hope to get out of the epidemic in large-scale vaccination, starting April 16th for people over 60 years old, from May 15th for people over 50 years old, and from mid-June for people under 50 years old.

Although the latest anti-epidemic measures are not considered stringent, according to statistics from the Ministry of Finance, the number of closed businesses will rise from 90,000 to 150,000, and corporate subsidies related to this will increase to 11 billion euros per month.
