Since Saturday evening, the figures published by
Public Health France
effectively show a one point increase in the incidence rate of Covid-19.
Nationally, this indicator fell from 44 to 45 cases per 100,000 inhabitants after having remained stable since last August.
But it remains below the epidemic alert threshold.
This is certainly a very slight increase, but which hides disparities between the health situations of different departments.
In some regions of the country, there is even talk of an epidemiological recovery.
This is the case, for example, in the Bouches-du-Rhône where the incidence rate has exceeded the worrying threshold of 100 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
The risk of a fifth wave this winter?
Elsewhere, in Occitania, the departments of Lozère and Aveyron respectively show rates of over 87 and 62 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
But, even if in some areas the situation is worrying, nationally, there is no talk of epidemiological recovery.
However, experts are warning of a possible fifth wave that could occur this fall thanks to winter and the
end of free

screening tests
