Estelle Mouzin's body still untraceable.

Michel Fourniret was brought to the Ardennes last Monday in the hope of finding the body of the young girl he confessed to having killed.

For five days, the examining magistrate Sabine Kheris tried to "rekindle the memories" of the serial killer through a "scenario".

The trip ended on Friday without the body of Estelle, who disappeared at the age of nine in January 2003 in Guermantes in Seine et Marne, was not found.

"The body of Estelle Mouzin has not been found at the present time, the research will continue in a second time" because "we must obviously continue to look for her", told the press Maître Corinne Hermann, lawyer for the Mouzin family, leaving the Château de Sautou, a former property of Michel Fourniret, on Friday afternoon.

"Serious advances in education"

"A lot of energy and skills have been deployed over the past five days" with "interrogations, exchanges and travel," she said.

“It's not a disappointment tonight.

There are serious advances in training, we have additional elements "," which is essential for us, "she said.

Despite his "illness", Michel Fourniret "was cooperative at times, confirmed the facts and his involvement," said Corinne Hermann, without giving further details.

Under high security, the convoy carrying him with his ex-wife, Monique Olivier, went in turn to the house in Ville-sur-Lumes, where Monique Olivier claims that Estelle Mouzin was kidnapped, raped and killed, in a cemetery in Charleville-Mézières, on land in Floing or at the Château du Sautou, a large isolated property.

Its various properties already excavated

The land at Floing, where the serial killer had set up a kindergarten, the house in Ville-sur-Lumes and the Château du Sautou had already been searched in December 2018 and June 2020, to no avail.

Indicted in this case in November 2019, he confessed in March his responsibility, his ex-wife being indicted, for "complicity".

He was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2008 for the murders of seven young women or adolescent girls between 1987 and 2001, and confessed in 2018 to having killed two other young women in the Yonne.
