Dresden (dpa / sn) - In an apartment fire in the attic of a Dresden apartment building, a woman and three children were injured on Friday.
According to the fire department, the 47-year-old tenant of the apartment on fire was already standing in front of the house with her three children aged five, eight and twelve when the emergency services arrived.
All four were taken to hospital with suspected smoke inhalation.
Another tenant was rescued from the neighboring attic apartment with a turntable ladder, while two other people were taken from the stairwell.
The residents of the house were accommodated in a bus operated by the Dresden public transport company while the fire department put out the fire.
Around 50 emergency services were deployed.
The extinguishing work has now been completed, the cause of the fire was initially unknown.
According to the information, the tenants have not yet been able to return to their apartments.
