Katsunori Nagayasu, who was the president of the former Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ during the Lehman shock and led a huge investment in the American financial giant Morgan Stanley, died of esophageal cancer on the 3rd of this month.

In 2008, he became the president of the former Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, and decided to invest 900 billion yen in Morgan Stanley, an American financial giant whose cash flow had become difficult due to the Lehman shock immediately afterwards.
