With behavior similar to that of an SUV thanks to its independent rear suspensions, the new Ford Maverick is intended for family use but does not balk at the task for all that.

Placed under the Ranger in the range of the American manufacturer, this 5.07 m long machine is both simple and robust, while benefiting from clever equipment such as a 120 V outlet in the bucket.

Under its hood, there is a 2.5-liter engine associated with an electric powertrain, all developing 194 hp.

It is also possible to opt for the 2-liter Ecoboost of 254 hp.

With a payload of 680 kg, the Maverick can tow 900 to 1,815 kg depending on the engine chosen.

Produced in Mexico, the pickup is sold from the equivalent of € 16,500 in North America.

A rather competitive price which would convince the Europeans, more and more fond of pick-ups.
