The brother of footballer Serge Aurier died after being shot in the air Monday morning in Toulouse. Christopher Aurier (26) was picked up by the firefighters around 5:15 a.m. on Boulevard de Thibaud, located in the industrial zone of the same name, southwest of the city. Wounded in the abdomen, he was transported to the Rangueil hospital center, where he died.

The investigation was entrusted to the Regional Judicial Police Service (SRPJ), while the gunman fled. Christopher Aurier was trained in Lens like his older brother Serge, an Ivorian international defender who then went through the TFC and PSG, before joining England and Tottenham, where he has been playing since 2017.

But Christopher, who is also already known to the courts, has never broken through at the highest level and played last season at Toulouse Rodéo (National 3, fifth division).
