Kylian Mbappé participated in PSG's victory in Montpellier in Ligue 1 on Saturday, December 5 (3-1) by scoring the last goal of the evening.

The French striker now has 100 goals under the colors of the Parisian club.

Soon to be 22, he equals Dominique Rocheteau and gets closer to Pedro Miguel Pauleta, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani.

And his appetite is not satisfied.

against Manchester United on

Wednesday, Kylian Mbappé is not in the mood for the Champions League this fall, since he has not yet found his way to the net this season.

On the other hand, in Ligue 1, the attacker maintains his infernal pace.

Already at the top of the scorers standings, the Parisian increased his lead in Hérault with a 10th goal scored.

However, Thomas Tuchel had largely reshuffled his team for this meeting of the 13th day.

Neymar and Marco Verratti at rest, Marquinhos, Alessandro Florenzi and Kylian Mbappé on the bench, not to mention the injured ... With players usually substitutes, Paris still took the upper hand over Montpellier.

With his team leading 2-1, Tuchel brought in his world champion for the final ten minutes.

And this short playing time was enough for Kylian Mbappé to close the show.

Well served by Layvin Kurzawa, the striker scored the third and last goal of the evening in the dying seconds (90 + 1e).

A highly symbolic goal for him: it is his 100th since wearing the PSG jersey.

Supersonic Mbappé

Kylian Mbappé, who will celebrate his 22nd birthday on December 20, thus enters a little more into the history of PSG.

With 100 goals under the Parisian colors in all competitions, he equals Dominique Rocheteau (100 goals in 254 matches).

Next step: join Pedro Miguel Pauleta, the former top scorer in the club's history (before the acquisition by Qatar Sports Investments in 2011) with his 109 achievements in 211 matches.

And then, Kylian Mbappé will be able to project himself on the totals of Zlatan Ibrahimovic (156 goals in 180 matches) and record

holder Edinson Cavani

(200 goals in 301 matches).

Statistically, the 2018 world champion is advancing at full speed.

It only took 137 matches for him to reach that total of 100 goals.

Without forgetting that, despite his youth, he found the net 27 times in 60 matches in the jersey of his training club, AS Monaco.

And in 39 international caps with the France team, Kylian Mbappé already has 16 goals, which places him in the Top 20 in the history of the Blues, just behind Roger Piantoni and Raymond Kopa.

" A liberation "

Arrived during the summer of 2017 after Neymar for 180 million euros, Bondy's child spent a first season in Paris slightly behind the Brazilian star and Cavani, then still the No. 1 striker of the club.

Mbappé scored 21 goals that season (0.45 goals / game on average).

Entered a new dimension after the World Cup won in Russia with the Blues,

the striker then took off

: 39 achievements in 2018-2019 (0.90 goals / game on average), 30 achievements in the 2019-2020 season truncated by the Covid-19 (0.81 goal / game on average).

“

It had been a few matches that I wanted to score (this 100th goal editor's note).

It's a liberation, especially in a big club like that.

By signing here, I would not even have thought of scoring three goals (laughs)

one who was disturbed and missed a few matches since September due to muscle problems in a thigh.

While much ink is being spilled about his future and that he will find himself, in June 2021, one year before the end of his contract with Paris, Kylian Mbappé is, in his words in any case, in the continuity of its current performance.

Whoever wears the No. 7 believes that he can "

even more score

 ", that he has "

a margin

" in the matter, and he hopes to "

score Tuesday

" December 8 in the Champions League against Istanbul Basaksehir, during the last match of the group stage.

A match that Paris must not miss if it does not want to know the disillusionment of an elimination even before the 8th finals.

At least, the Rouge et Bleu can count on the reinforced confidence of a new centenary Mbappé.

100 goals for PSG.

An incredible sense of pride.

A big thank you to all my teammates, the club, my relatives and of course you the fans for your support.
