  • The Covid-19 is still circulating in France, leading to the cancellation of festivals and concerts which bring together a lot of people.
  • However, many activities are still allowed to take advantage of summer on the Côte d'Azur.

The Nice Jazz Festival in Nice, the Guitar Nights of Beaulieu-sur-Mer, the Electronic Beaches in Cannes, the Nuits du Sud de Vence, the Square Nights of Antibes, are all events that punctuate summer on the Coast Azure. Because of the new coronavirus and the health measures it entails, they have all been canceled or postponed.

But do not panic, many activities remain to be done to enjoy the season. 20 Minutes has prepared five outing ideas for you.

"Summer Rendez-Vous" at the Théâtre de Nice

From July 1 to August 28, the Nice theater, in collaboration with the city, has concocted a summer program. Open air performances, free and without reservation.

Called “Les Rendez-Vous de l'Eté”, the theater offers two events: “Les Contes d'apéro”, every day on the Promenade du Paillon, and  Marivuax's Game of Love and Chance , show given on the Castle Hill.

Outdoor cinema sessions

The open-air screenings of the Beaulieu-sur-Mer cinema will resume on July 7. For five euros you can discover the films of the moment, outdoors.

Meet at the Battery Theater in Beaulieu-sur-Mer and in the presbytery garden, in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat.

Asian arts all summer

And for moments of discovery and culture, the Museum of Asian Arts in Nice, located on the famous Promenade des Anglais, extends three of its exhibitions.

Dongba, from Naxi pictograms to contemporary art , a unique exhibition in Europe, available until Sunday June 28, 2020. Palace Paradis, funeral offerings in paper from Taiwan , extended until Monday July 6, 2020. Finally, the exhibition of photographs Path  by Japanese artist Ikuru Kuwajima, will last all summer. It will end on Sunday August 30.

Every weekend from June 20, then every day from July 4 to September 30, the curious can enjoy the train ride and will be accompanied by a tour guide during the two hour journey. All information is available and updated online on the website of the Tende - Vallée des Merveilles Tourist Office.
