On the morning of the 20th, a man in his 50s died in a fire that burned three houses in a densely populated residential area in Meguro-ku, Tokyo.

After 6:30 am on the 20th, a fire broke out from a three-story house in Kamimeguro, Meguro-ku, and it burned to the surrounding houses.



According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the fire was almost extinguished in about an hour and a half, but the house at the source of the fire was completely burned down, and some of the two surrounding houses were burnt down.



Three people lived in the house at the source of the fire, of which a 52-year-old man was taken to the hospital with unconsciousness and died an hour and a half later.



The remaining two have jumped off the second floor, evacuated on their own, have injured legs, and are being treated at the hospital.



The site is a densely populated residential area about 600 meters north of Yutenji Station on the Tokyu Toyoko Line, and the Metropolitan Police Department and the fire department are investigating the cause of the fire.

In the footage taken near the scene of the fire around 7 am, you can see the white smoke rising high from the building and the fire brigade spraying water to extinguish the fire.



A man in his 70s who lived in the neighborhood where the video was shot said, "I just got up, but it was noisy, so when I went to see the situation, there was a lot of smoke. That's it. "
