In his five World Cup starts, Tampere's son Olkinuora has received 103 shots and saved all but one.

Alex Galchenyuk comforted the United States with 1.38 left in the third period.

Otherwise, Olkinuora would have been listed for five zeros in as many matches.

The Finn now tops the World Cup's goalkeeper league in superior style - despite the fact that the runner-up, the American Jeremy Swayman, also has a sky-high save percentage of 95.31.

- The tournament has started well, but the statistics are alive so at the end of the week we can check where it landed in the end, the 31-year-old tells SVT Sport.

"Must be honest ..."

What is it that works so well?

- The defense and the whole team have played well.

We have had a lot of puck, played very well in our own zone and not taken many expulsions.

Our slopes are world class, our forwards too.

Have you ever been better?

- Hard to say.

I'm just trying to live in the now.

I have played quite well, I have to be honest, haha, but hopefully we have three games left in this tournament.

After that we can think more about how fun it has been.

"Tough match for Tre Kronor"

Finland won Group B on 19 points, one more than Sweden, but lost to Tre Kronor in the group stage with 2-3 after penalties.

That time, Harri Säteri guarded the cash register.

How happy would you have been to meet Sweden again?

- We'll see, maybe we can do that, Olkinuora says with a smile.

- They have an interesting match against Canada first, we will see how it goes because it will be a tough match for both teams.

The cage keeper's four zeros have come against Norway, Great Britain, Austria and the Czech Republic.

Next for the Finnish part, Slovakia awaits in the quarterfinals tomorrow night, 19.20 Swedish time.
