FIFA prevents Mounir El Haddadi from joining the Moroccan national team

FIFA decided, "FIFA rejected the participation of Seville player Mounir Al-Haddadi, with the Moroccan national team, despite changing laws last month, which allowed for greater flexibility in the matter of allowing players to change their national teams, and was referring to the possibility of Al-Haddadi representing the" Atlas Lions "team.

The Associated Press agency said that the obstacle facing Al-Haddadi lies in his participation during the months of September, October and November 2016 with the Spain U-21 team in the European Nations qualifiers, as the agency indicated that this participation stood an obstacle for the Sevilla player to join Moroccan national team.

The Associated Press clarified that the new FIFA conditions and its amendments related to allowing players to wear another national team shirt stipulate that the player should not play more than 3 matches with the team he represented previously, that these matches should not be in an important tournament, and that 3 years pass. At least since his last participation, and that he had not represented the national team after reaching the age of twenty-one, most of these conditions would be against Al-Haddadi and his ability to represent the "Atlas Lions" team.

It should be mentioned, that the Moroccan team is playing two friendly matches, one of which is against Senegal today, and the second against the Democratic Republic of the Congo on the 13th of this month.
