The International Football Association (FIFA) announced today, Thursday, that it has taken full responsibility for controlling the operation of the video assistant referee (Var) technology.
"Sky Sports" quoted Matthias Grafström, Deputy Secretary-General of FIFA, that all the 211 member federations of the International Federation were informed of this matter through a letter sent on June 29.
The International Federation of Football Association (IFAP), the Football Law Legislator, has previously worked closely with FIFA regarding the development and implementation of FAR technology in all competitions, where cooperation has been carried out on several levels, including technological affairs, training and education.
FIFA's speech said: "We are proud that the introduction of the Var technology has achieved global success, as the implementation of the Var technology has been completed in more than 100 global competitions."
"After the successful launch period, when FIFA worked in conjunction with IFAP, we would like to inform you that the responsibility for all activities related to the Far technology will be transferred to FIFA," the letter added.
FIFA has assumed responsibility for responding to any questions, comments, or suggestions related to the Var technology from July 1.
