• After long months of waiting, FC Nantes is finally launching its subscription campaign for supporters.

  • The stadium of La Beaujoire sounded hollow, particularly before the return of the Loire Brigade.

  • If the return of subscriptions is not necessarily a guarantee of return of the public, FC Nantes can, however, hope to attract a larger audience.

After 12 days of Ligue 1, FC Nantes has finally decided to launch its subscription campaign. A campaign that took a long time to complete, the club judging, from last summer, that the health context did not offer sufficient "visibility". The FCN was then one of the few Ligue 1 clubs to make this choice, notably with Angers SCO or OM. Subsequently, and faced with requests from supporters of the Canaries, the club announced that a subscription campaign would finally see the light of day during the month of October. It is now done.

As part of this 2021-2022 subscription, the club offers its supporters a formula with 12 league matches, valid from FC Nantes - Olympique de Marseille, on December 1st.

Lens, Monaco, PSG, LOSC and Stade Rennais are also on the menu for these matches at La Beaujoire.

A Beaujoire that sounded hollow

A Beaujoire that rang hollow for a long time during the start of the season. Indeed, the attendance at La Beaujoire was down sharply, with an average of around 17,000 spectators until October, and in particular the return of the Loire Brigade against Troyes on October 3. Before that, La Beaujoire sounded rather hollow with a drop in attendance of around 31% (- 7,687 spectators) according to figures from

, over the first nine days of Ligue 1 compared to the 2019-2020 season. (-14% on average). FC Nantes was then the third club in the League to experience the biggest drop in its audience in the stands.

If the return of subscriptions is not necessarily a guarantee of return of the public, FC Nantes can, however, hope to attract a larger audience.

In particular by retaining the loyalty of the youngest, with frozen and reduced prices.

For example, minors now benefit from a single price in all the stands (€ 4 per match for under 12s / € 7 for under 18s).
