Emotional “Harry Potter” memories: in the first trailer for the special program “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts”, the stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson look back on the fantasy series with emotion.
The American streaming service HBO Max put the almost two-minute trailer online on Monday, and it quickly received over two million views.
HBO Max wants to show the special with many actors from the eight-part film franchise on New Years.
In the video clip with film scenes and interviews, Radcliffe, Grint and Watson affirm their friendship.
"It's a close bond that we will have forever," says Grint, hugging Watson.
“We are a family and we will always be part of others' lives,” agrees Radcliffe.
In dark, difficult times, "Harry Potter" enriches life, says Watson.
Co-stars like Helena Bonham Carter and Ralph Fiennes also have their say in the trailer.
The world premiere was in 2001
The first Harry Potter film celebrated its world premiere in London in November 2001, and seven more films followed.
In addition to Radcliffe in the role of the famous student sorcerer, Watson appeared as Hermione Granger and Grint as Ron Weasley.
One reason for the continued popularity of the film series, which was released from 2001 to 2011, is to watch the three protagonists grow up.
The series is created by the British writer JK Rowling.
The final film in the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, is still the 13th most financially successful film of all time, according to industry website Boxofficemojo, with grossing more than $ 1.3 billion.
