A well-known journalist who serialized a column in the Hong Kong newspaper "Ringo Daily", which was known for its criticism of China, died on the 5th.

Li Yi, a journalist who spent many years editing magazines and writing columns in Hong Kong and criticizing the Chinese government, died.



She was born in Guangzhou, South China in 1936 and moved to Hong Kong when she was 12 years old.



She later worked as editor-in-chief of a magazine since the 1980s, and she also wrote a column in the Hong Kong newspaper "Ringo Daily", which was known for its criticism of China.



In March of last year, Mr. Lee published his final column in the "Apple Daily" about the "Hong Kong National Security Law", which cracks down on anti-government movements, saying, "With the enforcement of the National Security Law, political commentary should be protected by law. I can no longer take it. This is a real pressure," and moved to Taiwan.



According to her family, Li died in Taipei on the 5th.



She was 86 years old.
