Marburg (dpa / lhe) - The mosaic school in Marburg is one of the winners of the so-called German School Prize 20/21 Special.

The special edition of the award was dedicated to school concepts that were created during the corona pandemic.

The Marburg special school with 81 pupils was specifically awarded on the subject of “individual support for all pupils” and received 10,000 euros for this, as the Robert Bosch Foundation announced in Stuttgart on Monday.

It has been awarding the German School Prize since 2006 together with the Heidehof Foundation.

According to the jury, the mosaic school managed to support all of its students despite very different disabilities.

“Your concept can be transferred to other schools”.

In addition to the school in Marburg, six other schools nationwide will receive 10,000 euros.

Schools nominated that did not win an award received a recognition award endowed with 5000 euros.

366 schools applied for the special school prize under the patronage of Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
