The Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development recently organized the first meeting of the "Dubai Network for Business Incubators", which seeks to stimulate economic and development activity in the UAE, and Dubai in particular, by establishing new facilities capable of providing promising investment opportunities, and providing more of job opportunities.

During the meeting, the current status of the network and the opportunities before it, as well as the opportunities for entrepreneurs and emerging projects in Dubai, were discussed, at a time when partnerships are expected between local accredited incubators and business incubators participating in Expo 2020 Dubai.

In turn, the incubators presented presentations about their pioneering experiences towards an effective entrepreneurial approach, which culminated in success stories and pioneering initiatives that enabled hundreds of young people to launch their start-up projects, and the most important experiences of local and international business incubators to support this sector were reviewed.

The Executive Director of the Foundation, Abdul Baset Al Janahi, stressed the distinguished reputation that the Emirate of Dubai has achieved as the largest business incubator and the most important destination for attracting innovative projects in the region, and its support for economic development projects, encouraging investments, and supporting the growth of small and medium enterprises.

He pointed out the importance of launching "Dubai Next" by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, as the first digital platform to attract crowdfunding and support innovative ideas and projects.

He continued, "This year will witness a quantum leap in the concept of business incubators in the country, given the trend of this sector to specialize in incubated projects, which allows more focus on the quality and quality of projects."

He stressed that "Expo 2020 Dubai" will contribute to attracting a number of entrepreneurs and emerging companies to join the accredited incubators, expecting that partnerships, cooperation and joint exchange will occur between the local incubators accredited by the Foundation, and the business incubators participating in "Expo 2020 Dubai", which contributes to the development of the network. Transferring global expertise and experiences to benefit from them in developing the network system.

The Dubai Network of Accredited Business Incubators includes 13 specialized business incubators.
