At 23.40 on Monday evening, police and emergency services were alerted about an explosion at a residential building in Bro.
- At least one person was in the villa but we have no information that anyone was injured. There are indications that the property has been damaged, says Ola Österling, spokesperson for the Stockholm Police.
The area around the villa is blocked off and will be investigated by the police's bomb and forensics.
- I can't answer what detonated, bombing techniques will determine, says Ola Österling.
The incident is classified as dangerous destruction, and a large number of people who heard the explosion are now being heard by police, according to Österling. No one is arrested for the crime.
At about the same time, a man was shot in a shooting in Haninge, south of Stockholm, but the police currently see no connection between the incidents.
