From May 31, the pace of vaccination against Covid-19 will shift into high gear thanks to the reorganization of centers in Haute-Garonne.

If more than 600,000 inhabitants of the department have already been vaccinated to date, the pace will really accelerate in June with access to vaccination for all.

Nearly 300,000 doses are expected in June for Haute-Garonne, the volume received in May multiplied by two and a half times according to the regional health agency.

Ten large vaccination centers will be operational from May 31.

A mega vaccinodrome in Toulouse

Nearly 152,624 people have already been vaccinated at the Toulouse vaccinodrome, installed in hall 8 of the former exhibition center.

It will be able to vaccinate up to 5,000 people per day.

Hall 7 will be operational from June 7.

“That everyone can be vaccinated is our priority, insists Etienne Guyot, the prefect of Haute-Garonne.

We have changed our strategy to better adapt to the massive reception of doses and to the growing desire of our fellow citizens to protect themselves against the virus ”.

Intermediate centers

State, local communities, doctors, ARS and associations have worked together to reorganize the vaccination centers.

In Toulouse, the Pierre-Baudis Congress Center remains in place to vaccinate people over 18 years old.

In Muret, the one installed in the Horizon Pyrénées room at the town hall will be able to carry out a thousand injections per day from Monday.

Other centers already open will also have more doses such as Colomiers, Saint-Jory, Villefranche-de-Lauragais and Saint-Orens.

New centers

Three new vaccination centers, with a capacity of 500 people per day, will open their doors.

They are located in Villeneuve-de-Rivière, in the Comminges, in Montastruc-la-Conseillère (with the help of the departmental council) and in Labège on the site of the Sicoval community of municipalities, which will open on June 7.

Appointment required

Anyone can be vaccinated from May 31, but it is imperative to make an appointment on the site santé.fr or keldoc.

Slots

From May 31, these centers will operate 7 days a week, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Only the Villefranche-de-Lauragais vaccination center closes at 6 p.m.

Currently, 38% of those over 18 in Haute-Garonne have received a first dose, 80% of those over 75.

As for the incidence rate, it continues to decline, amounting to 86 cases per 100,000 in the department.
