It contains 20 clubs
It's not really a surprise, but we weren't really immune to a big LFP ball with Toulouse and Amiens in the calendar and a 42-day season. We are kidding, but obviously, this calendar was designed as decided by the league with 20 clubs and therefore 38 league days. A first day turned towards the Vélodrome
In general, the first days of Ligue 1 never offer a poster to drop your jaw. This year, however: a historic duel of our French football is on the program with an OM - Saint-Etienne at the Vélodrome. Or an ambitious duel, with a Lille-Rennes not disgusting. Otherwise, PSG will receive Metz and Lyon will go to Montpellier.

No double days with two huge shocks, the LFP has scattered its matches with large audiences a little. We therefore talked about September 13 for PSG-OM, with a return on February 7. The Olympicos OL-OM will take place on October 4 and January 24, the OL-ASSE on November 8 and February 28, the PSG-OL on December 13 and March 21.

A less busy start to the year 2021
This is the main advantage of the death of the League Cup, apart from the uninspiring matches: the Ligue 1 clubs will not have a busy start to the year in January 2021, which could allow European clubs to arrive less tired towards the final stages. Finally, a little less than usual, because the LFP took advantage of these new beaches to insert a few days called "weekdays". In total, there will be five midweek days in the season.
