Berlin (AP) - Luke Sikma from the German basketball champion Alba Berlin has been named the most valuable player (MVP) of the Euroleague match day.

The Berlin power forward recorded the highest performance index of all players in the 100:80 win against Khimki Moscow and contributed 20 points, nine rebounds and ten assists to their third success on matchday 11, the league announced on Saturday.

It was Sikma's second MVP choice.

The 31-year-old was given this honor on the ninth day of the last Euroleague season.

In second place, Niels Giffey, was also an Alba professional. The team captain got 22 points, which is his best result in the European premier class of basketball. After nine games, Alba is in 15th place out of 18 teams with three wins and six losses. Due to a two-week quarantine, coach Aito Garcia Reneses' team has two catch-up games and could climb into midfield in the table.
