If the first two days of the 32nd edition of the Eurockéennes de Belfort have been canceled due to heavy storms, the festival resumes this Saturday afternoon, in particular with the concert of the metal group Arka'n Asrafokor.

For festival-goers and organizers, it's time for relief and celebration.

While the first two days of the Eurockéennes de Belfort were canceled due to bad weather, the festival resumed this Saturday afternoon.

Two-tonne tower uprooted, trees on the road... After the stupor of the first hours, it's a relief for the festival-goers, but also the organizers.

Rescheduled artists

"We were surprised by an extremely violent weather event. But the good news is that we will open the doors and have a first concert on the festival's main stage at 5.45 p.m.", rejoices Matthieu Pigasse, the director of the festival. .

This concert, provided by Arka'n Asrafokor, was originally scheduled for Friday evening.

Luckily, this highly anticipated metal band from Togo was able to be reinserted into the program.

"It's always more complicated to insert headliners into the lineup. But we still succeeded on some, like Arka'n Asrafokor, and on some small artists on the radar scene. That's three more artists , so the party will be even more beautiful”, underlines the programmer Kem Lalot.

The delight of festival-goers

While waiting for the arrival of artists of the day like Foals or Simple Minds, festival-goers have already started the party on the campsite.

"We've had a hard time, but we're happy all the same, because there's an atmosphere at the campsite. We're taking advantage of it," smile Morgane and Anne-Laure, despite the ups and downs of the day before and their tents torn down by storm.

And with a DJ set offered throughout the evening, it's a bit as if the festival had already started.
