"300 rescuers from the EU countries with equipment arrived in Beirut, the EU also sent emergency supplies of medical supplies," TASS quoted him as saying.
He also added that the European Commission has already allocated € 33 million in emergency aid to Lebanon.
Earlier, the Russian Emergencies Ministry said that rescuers are working around the clock on the rubble formed after a powerful explosion in Beirut.
On August 4, a powerful explosion took place in the Lebanese capital near the port.
The Lebanese Supreme Defense Council has declared Beirut a disaster zone.
