Establishment of fund to support entrepreneurs such as blacks SoftBank Group June 4 11:18

Amid the spread of protests following the death of a black man in the United States, SoftBank Group decided to set up a Japanese yen fund of more than 10 billion yen to support entrepreneurs such as blacks.

The fund will be set up with a fund of 100 million dollars, or more than 10 billion yen in Japanese yen, to invest in minority entrepreneurs such as blacks and Hispanics who run startup companies.

In the United States, protests continue to protest the death of a black man who was squeezed by a white police officer.

The SoftBank Group explains that the aim of the fund establishment is to create an environment where black entrepreneurs and others are not discriminated against.

Masayoshi Son posted on his Twitter that "racism is sad. I want to break the unfair world that hinders the success of black and Latin entrepreneurs."

The fund is expected to invest in companies that utilize technology such as AI = artificial intelligence, which the SoftBank Group is focusing on.
