All week, Europe 1 goes to the family amusement park of Fraispertuis in the Vosges to meet those who bring this park to life with 4,000 daily visitors.

This Wednesday, an appointment is made with Théo, carousel driver, who takes care of the most sensational attractions in particular.

The Golden Driller is one of the biggest attractions of the Fraispertuis amusement park, in the Vosges.

And if the visitors, around 4,000 each day can take advantage of it, it is in particular thanks to Théo, the carousel driver.

"I am in charge of all the thrilling attractions", he first told Europe 1, from the command post of the carousel.

"It's a big tower 66 meters high. We climbed slowly for about twenty seconds. Arrived at the top, we stay two or three seconds, and then we are dropped", he explains, under the cries of the participants.

A driver... who has never boarded

"It's a descent at 90 km / h", continues the machinist, who points out that he has never boarded this attraction.

"First of all, I'm dizzy", recalls Théo, "secondly, I have a heart condition. I prefer to avoid risks!", he smiles, as two children aged 9 and 11 are preparing to go up to edge.

Would it therefore be a "sadistic" pleasure to send people on a thrill ride, without having made it yourself?

"No", replies the machinist, "there are schoolchildren coming downstairs, they are happy, they laugh, they survive! It's nice. I know that as a visitor, when I was younger, I had really enjoyed the park. I thought why not allow others to have fun as I was able to have fun when I was younger."
