At the same time, in the French capital, it was already celebrating, while Paris will host the 2024 Olympic Games. At the Trocadéro, in front of the Eiffel Tower, more than 6,000 people gathered to attend this handover in a planned enclosure. for this purpose.

When the first notes of the credits of the closing ceremony in Tokyo sound, the crowd, massed under the giant screens, already vibrates. As Anne Hidalgo receives the Olympic flag in Tokyo, the crowd at the Trocadéro exults and waves the French flags.

Then the eyes turn to the sky when the Patrouille de France drop its tricolor smoke above the emblematic Parisian place.

For Cécile, present in the public, missing this ceremony was not an option. "We came from Nantes leaving this morning very early with our children.
