It will be possible to leave on the island of Beauty this summer, since the publication of a decree.

The French will now be able to fly to Corsica even without compelling reasons, after an amendment to the decree on travel restrictions published Wednesday in the Official Journal.

In the decree published on Monday on the new provisions related to the second phase of deconfinement, it was indicated that air travel between mainland France and the overseas territories and Corsica were limited to imperative family and professional reasons, up to new order. Tuesday evening, Prime Minister Edouard Philippe had assured that the part concerning Corsica, which did not apply to maritime transport, was going to be "corrected in a good way".

This is done in the decree published Wednesday which concerns only this provision and simply deletes the words "or the community of Corsica".
