In the company of Olivier Véran and Marlène Schiappa, the President of the Republic visited Thursday morning the first vaccinodrome installed in Paris, in the south of the 15th arrondissement.

Managed by the capital's firefighters, it can accommodate up to 3,000 people per day.

President Emmanuel Macron arrived Thursday morning in the first Paris vaccine site, installed in Hall 5 of the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Center, where between 2,500 and 3,000 people can be vaccinated against Covid-19 per day.

Divided into four units of six boxes each, or 24 vaccination lines, the vaccinodrome, which began operations on Wednesday, is open 7 days a week, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Installed in less than a week, it is managed entirely by the Paris fire brigade.

Rescuers carry out the vaccinations, only with the Pfizer vaccine for now.

He is to remain in office until August.

Arrived on site at 10:30 am, the Head of State was accompanied by Minister of Health Olivier Véran and Minister Delegate for Citizenship Marlène Schiappa.

20 million doses as of May 25

The government has set itself the goal of reaching the 20 million mark for the first doses injected by May 15, then 30 million a month later. As of Tuesday, 16.4 million people had received at least one dose and 7.3 million received two doses. The campaign will be officially open to everyone over 50 on May 15, and to all adults on June 15. For this, France expects more vials of the four vaccines authorized in May (4.5 million doses per week) and June (6.9 million weekly).
