The Emirates Foundation for School Education reported that its teams are currently working to raise the readiness of 564 public schools nationwide to receive students with the start of the new school year, which will start on August 29, noting that schools and field teams are working to enhance and provide a safe school and educational environment. The Foundation confirmed, on its account on “Telegram”, that it has adopted an integrated operational plan to manage the movement of students in their schools, taking into account their safety, and at the same time allowing them to enjoy the facilities of their schools, calling on everyone from students’ parents, teachers, school administrators and community members to unite for a safe start. for the academic year.
The Foundation indicated that the education system implemented in the new school year 2021-2022 will be "present" in schools, pointing out that the distance education system, in the new academic year, will remain an option available to the student's guardian if he wishes to do so.
The Foundation confirmed that the highest standards used to protect students and the school community will be applied upon returning to schools, according to what was previously announced, stressing the need for students aged 16 years and over to receive the vaccine against the “Corona” virus.
The Foundation pointed out that taking the vaccine is a mandatory condition for entering all educational facilities, including nurseries, governmental and private public education institutions, public and private higher education institutions, training centers, and others.
The new school year 2021/2022 will start on August 29, according to the school calendar approved by the Ministerial Council for Development. The number of school days for the new school year is 186 days, and the year’s vacations are distributed over the winter vacation (December 12-30). Next, spring break (March 27-April 14) next.
