El Salvador seized 4.1 tons of cocaine on Monday during an operation in the Pacific Ocean in which five Colombians and two Ecuadorians who were transporting it in two semi-submersible boats were arrested, President Nayib Bukele said.

Members of the Naval Force seized "4.1 tons of cocaine worth approximately $ 103,900,000," the head of state said on his Twitter account.
According to the president, this is "the biggest drug seizure" carried out under the Territorial Control Plan, named after his government's security and anti-crime strategy.
2.5 tonnes of cocaine in November
On November 20, Salvadoran authorities seized 2.5 tonnes of cocaine worth $ 62.5 million during an operation in the Pacific Ocean.
Four Ecuadorians, three Mexicans and two Colombians were arrested on this occasion.
On Friday, it was in Hong Kong that the police made a record seizure with the capture of 1.3 tonnes of ketamine.
The cargo is worth more than $ 100 million (Hong Kong $ 840 million), according to local police.
This is the largest seizure of this drug in the territory.
Three Hong Kong men and one Indian man, aged 32 to 47, were arrested and detained.
