Météo-France has placed 8 departments in eastern France on orange alert in forecast of violent storms: Haut-Rhin, Bas-Rhin, Territoire de Belfort, Vosges, Haute-Saône, Doubs, Jura and Ain.

The alert is centered on the evening, from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. approximately.

Light rain and thunderstorms could precede this period, before stronger thunderstorms arriving via Ain and the south of Franche-Comté.

The phenomenon will go up towards the north and will be evacuated by Alsace in the night.

Showers will persist until morning.

During this stormy episode, Météo-France expects hailstorms, gusts of wind of at least 80 to 90 km/h, heavy rainfall and intense electrical activity.
