Egypt tightens its medical procedures during the World Cup handball

Hazem Khamis, head of the medical committee for the World Handball Championship to be hosted by Egypt in early 2021, confirmed that a doctor has been assigned to accompany each of the teams participating in the World Handball Championship.

Hazem Khamis said in televised statements to the "Sad Al-Balad" channel yesterday evening, Saturday, that the doctor is tasked with detecting the emerging corona virus and its symptoms, and each team was required to take a private doctor with him.

He added that all teams will be subjected to Corona virus tests 72 hours before coming to Egypt, with the tests continuing throughout the tournament period.

He explained that all eight teams will stay in one hotel, and that the International Handball Federation delegation will stay with the journalists in one hotel.

The head of the medical committee for the World Handball Championship stressed that fans and journalists will wear masks during matches.
