Egan Bernal taken to hospital after training accident

Colombian cyclist Egan Bernal was the victim of an accident in training on Monday, while he was on an outing with some Ineos Grenadiers teammates in the department of Cundinamarca, where he resides.

According to local press and a video posted on Twitter, the 2019 Tour de France winner crashed into a parked public transport bus.

The 25-year-old runner was taken to hospital where he was under observation and conscious.
