A revaluation of the minimum wage and retirement pensions

The amount of the minimum wage is, in fact, automatically adjusted according to inflation.

On October 1, there was a first increase of 2.2%, and we will know on December 15 if there will be a supplement on January 1 around 0.6% or more, if inflation increases further. .

The rise in the inflation rate also serves to revalue retirement pensions.

But here, the calculation is a little more complicated and the increase will be much smaller on January 1.

A rise in rents, and perhaps the livret A

While it affects income, the inflation rate also affects housing.

For example, it helps determine how much a landlord can increase their rent.

Tenants could therefore have a surprise next January.

For homeowners, inflation is now taken into account when calculating property tax.

It will therefore necessarily increase next year.

The increase in motorway prices of more than 2% as of February 1, 2022 is similarly linked to the increase in the rate of inflation.

An increase which remains however good news for holders of a booklet A. The rate of remuneration could go from 0.5 to 0.75%.
