American streaming giant Netflix is ​​localized for Russia.

The interface of his website and applications has been translated into Russian, and soon the Russian-language accounts of the service in social networks and the support service will begin to work.

The service will be available daily, from 10:00 to 22:00 Moscow time.

Also, from now on, platform users can pay for a subscription in rubles.

It is expected that popular films and TV series, including the products of the Netflix Originals line, will be dubbed into Russian and supplemented with Russian subtitles.

“Starting today, we not only offer our service in Russian, but are also pleased to announce that content from the Netflix Originals line, dubbed into Russian, will appear on the platform.

For example, the series "The Ghosts of Bly Manor", the films "Hubie's Halloween" and "David Attenborough: Life on Our Planet."

More Russian content will also be presented, including the Epidemic series, which is already available on Netflix around the world, ”the company said in a statement.

The operator of the service on the territory of Russia is the National Media Group.

It is noteworthy that this company owns its own online video service more.tv, which is currently a competitor to Netflix in Russia.

In September, the CEO of NMG Olga Paskina noted that the deal to localize the American streaming service is part of the implementation of a strategy to achieve leadership positions in the digital and content segments in Russia.

Currently, the service library includes about 40 Russian-made tapes, but it is expected that by the end of the year their number will increase to 100.
