The Endowment and Minors Affairs Foundation in Dubai, in cooperation with the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, inaugurated the Endowment for Child and Women Care, pursuant to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, aimed at caring for children and caring for and empowering women.

The residential endowment is the first of its kind at the state level and comes within the projects of the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, which aims to achieve sustainable income to contribute to the care and rehabilitation of women and children and meet their needs, by providing comprehensive care, shelter and protection services and providing immediate support, in accordance with international human rights covenants.

The endowment contributes to supporting the Foundation's nationals and providing free comprehensive services to children of different nationalities from across the country.

The opening of the residential project in Al Warqa’a was attended by the Secretary-General of the Executive Council of Dubai, Abdullah Muhammad Al Basti, the Secretary-General of the Endowment and Minors Affairs Foundation in Dubai, Ali Muhammad Al-Mutawa, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, and the Director-General of the Dubai Foundation for Women’s Welfare Acting children, Sheikha Saeed Al Mansouri, members of the Board of Directors and representatives from both sides.

The charitable endowment, which was built in the Al Warqa’a First area on an area of ​​15,100 square feet, is a residential building consisting of six repeated floors.

It includes 30 apartments, and the total cost of the project is about 30 million dirhams.

Abdullah Mohammed Al Basti stressed that the achievement of this humanitarian initiative translates the vision of the first supporter of society in all its categories, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, especially women and children, and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, By providing all elements of a decent life for all segments of society, pointing out that providing care and ensuring growth opportunities for all enhances the factors of progress and prosperity of society.

He expressed his thanks and appreciation for the various aspects of support provided by the Dubai Endowment, which all serve to achieve the humanitarian goals of Dubai's action plans, including empowering women, caring for children and providing them with the skills necessary to ensure a bright future for them, which contributes to achieving the highest levels of benefit and empowerment for them and for all.

Issa Abdullah Al Ghurair, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Endowments and Minors Affairs in Dubai, said: "We affirm our keenness in the Foundation to enhance the role of women and empower them and provide the necessary support to children through the establishment of sustainable investment projects that achieve stability and social security for them and meet all their needs."

For his part, Ali Al-Mutawa stressed the Foundation's keenness to actively participate in various charitable initiatives aimed at empowering all segments of society, pointing out that children and women are among the social groups that receive wide attention from the Foundation.

Al-Mutawa stated that the Awqaf Foundation has contributed, since its inception, to providing support to children and women, through cooperation with many institutions and centers specialized in caring for them, rehabilitating them, developing their skills, and providing them with various aspects of integrated care, commensurate with their needs, to be able to participate in building society.

In turn, Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi thanked the Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation for the completion of this project, which will contribute to providing sustainable support for the programs of the Dubai Foundation for the Care of Children and Women, stressing that protecting this category is the responsibility of everyone and requires the solidarity of various institutions and authorities to secure their requirements to have a decent life and a healthy family environment. To ensure a better future for them, and to empower them in the communities to be able to achieve success and construction.

In addition, Sheikha Saeed Al-Mansoori, Acting Director General of the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, confirmed that leadership always exalts the interests of women and children, and mobilizes all elements of support and care for them, while constructive cooperation between the public and private sectors is one of the important pillars of Dubai's approach to creating the best forms of environment.
