The Fencing Federation and the Dubai Sports Council announced the participation of 1,600 male and female players from 102 countries in the World Fencing Championship for Youth and Juniors, which will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, at Hamdan Sports Complex in Dubai during the period from 2 to 10 next April.

Engineer Sheikh Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, President of the Fencing Federation, President of the Arab and Asian Federations, held a joint press conference with the Dubai Sports Council, which was attended by the Assistant Secretary-General of the Council, Nasser Aman Al Rahma, and the Secretary-General of the Fencing Federation, Huda Al Matrooshi.

Al Qasimi said: "The UAE, and specifically Dubai, will be on a date with the most awaited and most anticipated world championships and the most participating and numbered, which is the World Youth and Junior Fencing Championships, which will be hosted by Hamdan Sports Complex with the full support of the Dubai Sports Council."
