A report issued by the commercial registration and licensing sector in the Dubai Economy showed that the number of branches of foreign companies operating in Dubai licensed by it reaches 2101 currently, while the number of branches of Gulf companies reaches 784 branches in the emirate.

These figures reflect the attractiveness of Dubai at the regional and global level, as it provides a stimulating environment for business supported by a modern and integrated system of procedures, which saves time and effort on the business community, as well as the modern legislative environment that allows businessmen to work comfortably and take advantage of the promising opportunities that Local and regional markets also abound.

The data of the commercial registration and licensing sector indicated that with regard to the distribution of branches of foreign companies by nationality, branches of British companies ranked first, followed by branches of American companies, and then branches of Indian companies.

With regard to the distribution of branches of Gulf companies by nationality, branches of Kuwaiti companies ranked first, followed by branches of Saudi Arabia companies, and then branches of Bahrain companies.

As for the distribution of licenses issued to branches of foreign companies according to the category of the license, the professional led by 51%, followed by the commercial, 48%, while the rest of the percentages were distributed to the tourist and industrial sectors.

As for the distribution of these licenses according to the main regions in the Emirate of Dubai, the largest share was for Bur Dubai, with a total of 1666 licenses, and then for Deira, with a total of 435 licenses.

With regard to the branches of Gulf companies, the licenses issued to these branches were divided according to the category of the license as follows: The commercial came in the forefront with a percentage of 58%, followed by the professional at 41%, and then the industrial by 1%.

These licenses were distributed according to the main regions in the Emirate of Dubai as follows: The largest share of the Bur Dubai region, with a total of 512 licenses, then the Deira region, with a total of 272 licenses.
