Dubai Economy Conducts 684 Inspection Tours to Ensure Compliance with the Measures of "Covid-19"

The field inspection teams affiliated to the commercial supervision and consumer protection sector in the Dubai economy carried out 684 inspection visits and inspection tours to a number of open centers and shopping centers throughout the emirate, with the aim of ensuring that all commercial establishments adhere to precautionary measures aimed at curbing the spread of the "Covid-19" pandemic .

The Dubai Economy stated, in a statement yesterday, that during the tours, 24 commercial establishments were violated, 17 of which were due to the non-commitment of their workers to wear masks, and seven other establishments for non-compliance with physical distancing procedures.

She added that the violations included establishments operating in the retail sector, a consumer complex, general trade, electronics trade, mobile phone trade, ready-made clothes trade, perfume trade, air-conditioning spare parts trade, and shoe trade, indicating that the violating establishments were distributed over the locations of Al Mamzar and Al Sabkha. Naif, Muhaisnah 4, as well as a number of commercial centers.

In addition, the field inspection teams alerted five other facilities, due to their lack of physical distancing posters, while the number of facilities that meet the conditions and precautionary measures reached 655.
