Fourteen people arrested on Monday
Fourteen people were arrested Monday during a simultaneous operation carried out in France and Spain by the research section of the Pau gendarmerie, assisted by the Landes and Gironde gendarmerie groups, units of the mobile gendarmerie and the dog group from Mont-de-Marsan, as well as from the Spanish Guardia civil.
Thanks to the use by the National Gendarmerie Center for the fight against digital crime (C3N) of data from the encrypted network Encrochat - used by criminal networks -, "the heads of networks, lieutenants, nurses and drivers, but also the Spanish suppliers ”had thus been identified.

The specialized interregional court (Jirs) of Bordeaux then validated the questioning phase.
In total "191,000 euros as well as 15 vehicles and 15 kilos of grass were seized, the drugs having been previously delivered", details the same source.
In the Landes, trafficking operated in the Capbreton area and some of the accused, aged 20 to 40, operated from their prison cell.
"This case illustrates the exemplary cooperation between the gendarmerie and the Guardia civil within the framework of the fight against cross-border trafficking", further pointed out the national gendarmerie.
