A man in his thirties, who was driving without a license, dropped a car in the water, escaped from the police chase while sleeping, grabbed the steering wheel again without a license, and eventually lived in prison.
According to the legal profession, A (32) drove another person's BMW car at dawn on September 12 last year and crashed the vehicle along the riverside near the Gapcheon Expressway in Daejeon due to inexperience in turning.
Mr. A, who did not have a driver's license at the time, was charged with violating the Road Traffic Act (driving without a license) and was tried, but disappeared without appearing in court on the scheduled sentence.
The court, who delayed the sentence, issued an arrest warrant for Mr. A, and it was investigated that Mr. A was caught driving without a license again to avoid the police who followed his course.
On the 6th, Judge Song Jin-ho, the 7th criminal justice of the Daejeon District Law, sentenced Mr. A to one year in prison.
Judge Song said, "Even after receiving legal notice from the court, he was arrested while fleeing."
Mr. A was sentenced to 1 year in prison after driving without a license in 2015.
