On the night of Friday to Saturday, in Châteaubriant, a 27-year-old driver, who was traveling alone in his vehicle, died after hitting a semi-trailer, according to Presse Océan .

The accident occurred just before 4:15 a.m., rue du Général-Patton, at the entrance to the town, at the McDonald's roundabout. According to the first elements of the gendarmerie investigation, the driver of the truck moved onto the left lane when approaching the roundabout and approached the latter in the opposite direction to traffic. The young driver, an inhabitant of a neighboring commune of Châteaubriant, could not do anything to avoid the truck.
