February 21, 2018 At least 50 students from a school attacked on the evening of February 19 by the jihadists of Boko Harams have disappeared.

The BBC reports it citing the governor of the state of Yobe, where the blitz of Islamic terrorists took place. Most of the students and teachers managed to escape on the evening of the attack after hearing the shots of the jihadists who were approaching the school in the village of Dapchi.

Four years ago, Boko Haram kidnapped over 270 female students in the city of Chibok.

Girls Science Secondary School students and teachers fled into the bush, fearing being kidnapped by fighters.

Two days later, dozens of students have not yet returned home, raising the fears of their families, who have also searched in vain for them in the neighboring villages.

According to school staff, there were 710 female students aged 11 and up at the time of the attack.

"Our girls have been missing for two days and we don't know where they are," said Abubakar Shehu, uncle of some of the young women. "We were told that they had fled to other villages, but we have been to all those mentioned, without success. . We are beginning to fear that the worst has happened and we are afraid of having to face a new scenario like that of Chibok ".

The jihadist group Boko Haram, whose name means "Western education is a sin", has been leading a bloody uprising in northeastern Nigeria since 2009, which has led to the deaths of over 20,000 people.

The organization has already kidnapped thousands of people, including women and children, but it was only after the kidnapping of 276 high school students in Chibok in 2014 that a wave of global outrage began, giving the group a tragic notoriety on the international scene.
