The recession seems to set in after the heavy rains.
On Sunday, the departments of Nord and Pas-de-Calais experienced several episodes of flooding with, in particular, the sudden flooding of the Lys and Lawe-Clarence rivers.
This Monday, only the Flanders sector, between Hazebrouck and Lille (Lys plain), still remained concerned by orange vigilance.
The Pas-de-Calais strongly affected
The report shows, in Pas-de-Calais, 147 interventions carried out by firefighters.
The most affected municipalities, both close to Saint-Omer, are Wittes, where 13 homes were affected and 11 people evacuated, and Aire-sur-la-Lys, with 11 houses flooded and 4 people evacuated.
In the North, the district of Dunkirk was the most severely affected.
Nine municipalities, mainly Esquelbecq and Wormhout, have benefited from around thirty interventions to shelter 75 people.
Some evacuations continued during the night from Sunday to Monday, especially in Bambecque (Yser) and Steenwerck (Lys).
